Ricardo Cardenas

Library Services

Ricardo Cardenas was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Molly, and together they have four sweet kiddos. 

Ricardo is bivocational, serving as pastor/elder at Calvary Commerce City, and also as the branch manager at Anythink Library - Commerce City. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota (2013), and a Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary (2016). Ricardo is currently an associate fellow at the Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology in Cambridge, as well as a Ph.D. student at Union Theological College in Belfast, Northern Ireland where he is completing a research project focused on establishing a theological cosmology of the American public library in light of Abraham Kuyper’s doctrine of creation. 

Outside of ministry, Ricardo enjoys reading good books, watching baseball, and spending time with his family.
